Our team conducts environmental assessments and detailed biological evaluations to identify sensitive species, critical habitats, and regulated resources early in project design. The firm has extensive experience supporting Endangered Species Act compliance, including Section 7 consultations with federal agencies and preparation of Section 10(a)(1)(B) incidental take permits for projects that may affect federally listed species. For research, recovery, or conservation activities, Huse Biological Consulting also assists in obtaining Section 10(a)(1)(A) recovery permits, ensuring proper handling of threatened and endangered species in accordance with federal regulations.

In addition to species protection, Huse Biological Consulting provides permitting support under the Clean Water Act, including Section 404 permits for work affecting waters of the U.S. and Section 401 water quality certifications. Biologists perform wetland and riparian assessments, coordinate with regulatory agencies, and prepare the technical documentation required to meet U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and state water board standards.

By combining biological expertise with regulatory knowledge, Huse Biological Consulting delivers integrated solutions that keep projects compliant while avoiding unnecessary delays. Our planning services help clients design projects that meet environmental obligations, secure required permits, and maintain long-term protection of sensitive habitats and species.
